Load your video first
Drag any video onto the left panel, or click to browse. MP4, MOV, and WebM work best. The video has to be open before anything else, because every flag lines up to the picture.

Set frame rate, then picture start
A card appears over the video with two steps. Pick your frame rate (it's on your spec sheet, don't guess) and mark picture start, the frame that equals 01:00:00:00 in the mixer's session. Scrub past any leader or logo first. These two set your timecode together, so you can't flag or send until both are done. Need to change the rate later? Use the FPS box in the header.

Watch and flag
Press Spacebar to play and pause. At a moment worth noting, hit FLAG IT or press /. The video pauses and a note field opens. Use the arrow keys to nudge one frame, Shift+arrow for one second.

Type and color-code
Write your note and press Enter. Tag each flag with the dots on its card. ● Must Fix ● Question ● Approved.

Jump around
Every flag is a colored dot on the timeline under the video. Click any dot, or any note card, to jump the video to that exact frame.

Send your notes
Download Notes saves a .zip (a .flagit backup, Pro Tools markers, and a PDF), stamped with the date and time so re-saves never overwrite each other. Email Notes does the same and opens your email to attach it. Both stay locked until your frame rate is set, picture start is marked, and you have at least one flag.

Auto-save and resume
FlagIt saves your work in this browser as you go, so a refresh or a closed tab won't lose your flags. Re-open the same video and pick Resume. The auto-save can't reopen the video for you (browsers don't allow it), so you re-drop the file. It clears once you download, since the .zip is then your keepable copy. Finish & clear wipes the saved copy on a shared machine.

Come back and merge
To add to an earlier review, open the video first, then drop your .zip or .flagit onto the notes panel, or use Load Notes. New flags merge in. Load the same file twice and it never makes duplicates.

New cut, regrade, or titles
Got a graded file or one with new head or end titles? Open it, mark picture start on the new file, then load your old notes. Your flags realign to picture start and land on the right frames, whatever the filename. If the length changed, FlagIt shows a quiet note: green when it's just added head or tail, amber if the change is inside the cut and worth a check.
TIMECODE: Once frame rate and picture start are set, the overlay shows true SMPTE timecode, drop-frame aware. The small Runtime counter by the controls is plain elapsed time from the top of the file.
